Richgrove wants to congratulate Lori Delgado on an amazing career here at our school. She has literally spent her entire life as a part of our school. She now gets to enjoy some well deserved time to herself and her family as she goes off into retirement after giving us 40 years of hard work! Here is her story...
As I begin to express my gratitude to have been given the opportunity to work for Richgrove School District and its staff and students, I’m beginning to feel a bit melancholy as I prepare for my retirement effective June, 2021.
I began my journey at the Richgrove School District in 1979 under part-time employment and later promoted to a permanent position of Attendance Secretary; every year this position brought new ways for growth and appreciate what I have learned. Over the years, I have enjoyed working at the concession stand during sports events and the school’s Annual Firework Stand; I also remember the popular “Popcorn/Pickle/Soda Fridays”, that was enjoyed by all. I was equally involved with student placement for the “Annual Career Day” event which was very rewarding to me as students from intermediate to junior high grades were introduced to different career choices. I’m grateful to have been a part of the Richgrove family which has provided me with life-long friendships and memories that will never be forgotten.
Teachers; should we get over this pandemic and school reopens; remember to submit your attendance count; attendance office will appreciate it.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye as I will miss everyone.
